Arad Ashrafi
Arad is a Machine Learning Researcher and Developer with a Master's in Computing Science from the University of Alberta. His expertise spans Responsible and Explainable AI, focusing on Natural Language Processing and on-device solutions. Arad has hands-on experience developing real-time speech recognition and recommender systems using cutting-edge ML technologies and Large Language Models. His commitment to ethical AI, demonstrated through research on mitigating gender bias and work on explainable AI, aligns with Duologue Systems' goal of creating transparent, trustworthy AI assistants for vulnerable populations. Arad's skills in optimizing AI models and understanding of privacy concerns make him invaluable to our projects.
Shay Sharma
Shay Sharma, founder of Duologue Systems, brings over 7+ years of experience in digital innovation, product development and transformation across multiple Canadian sectors. An engineer by training, Shay specializes in simplifying complex problems to deliver practical, field-ready solutions, with a particular focus on AI applications. Beyond her professional endeavors, Shay is actively involved in community initiatives. She contributes to the Indo Canadian Women's Association (ICWA) as a fundraiser for programs that assist women with domestic violence and serves as the secretary of Technology Alberta's board, playing a vital role in supporting and developing Alberta's tech ecosystem.
